Bettina

Bettina is a young pup - just a year old! - that we rescued from a shelter in Virginia Beach. Her previous owner was not prepared for the training needed to raise a well-behaved puppy and decided it would be easier to just give her up.

After being placed in a temporary foster home with a trainer, it's clear that Bettina is bright and eager to learn. She's already mastered Sit, and she's progressing with Down and Wait. She's even shown that she's housebroken - no accidents! Bettina is fast and very flexible and would make an ideal agility dog. We can just see her flying through the weave poles!

There is one thing that you'll either find TOTALLY ADORABLE or a dealbreaker. Bettina's favorite place to sleep is snuggled up next to you, preferably with her head on a pillow. She hates being crated and will cry, cry, cry. Since she's spent the last six months of her young life either in a shelter or a vet office, it's understandable that she wants to maximize her snuggle time!

Bettina's ideal forever home will be an adult-only home with an experienced owner who can commit to continuing her training. Having another dog that can play with her and (gently!) teach her some doggy manners would be a plus. If you're looking for your next agility dog, Bettina is ready!
