Who is this dark and handsome stranger? Why, it's Max, who came to us from North Carolina! Max lost his home when the family situation changed. His owner surrendered him to rescue, knowing he'd find a great forever home that will give him all the love and care he deserves.

Speaking of love, Max is full of it! He loves people, he loves other dogs, and he especially loves kids. At only 4 years old, he's got lots of spunk and absolutely adores playing with his toys. His ideal home would be one where there's a basket full of all sorts of fun toys to enjoy!

Max is a few pounds overweight and seems to prefer human food to canine fare. We're working on changing his mind! He requires a daily medication for his thyroid, an inexpensive pill that you can hide in a soft treat or piece of cheese when he has his meals. Your vet will run bloodwork twice a year to ensure he's on the right dosage.
