Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue

Neptune

Adult | Male | Adopted

Neptune loves balls. All kinds of balls. If they are round and fit in his mouth, they are the BEST thing ever. Second best thing ever? Toys! Stuffed toys, kongs, squeakies. There are baskets full of toys in his foster home, and he plans to test-drive each and every one of them.

On the list of not-so-nice things: grooming clippers, which is why his haircut isn't perfect. But it's a sight better than the look he was sporting when he arrived at the rural shelter in February. Neptune looked as bad as any of the Be Mine Nine with his fur matted to his skin.  Six-year-old Neptune has spent the last two years living out in the yard, attached to his dog house by a logging chain. He hadn't been groomed in all that time. OBG's vets had serious work to do to get him cleaned up.

But now he's living in a HOUSE! With toys and soft beds and other dogs and cats. And he loves every bit of it. And that's what he deserves -- a warm, soft place to sleep. We are going to make sure that he never knows his old way of life again.
