Blackjack

Blackjack is an honorary Cocker: we're not sure exactly what he is! He's a little taller than a Cocker, but not much bigger. He's got the coat of a Spitz and the face of a Newfie. His previous owner described him as having an easygoing temperament and in his foster home, this has proved to be true. His foster mom says that he has such a gentle temperament that she can imagine him fitting in just about anywhere. This 3-year-old loves to play with toys, kids, and other dogs and is polite to cats. Once playtime is over, Blackjack is happy to settle down and take a nap.

Blackjack is a great family dog and will only get better with some obedience training. He's a good boy, and has mastered the doggy door at his foster home. If your house doesn't have a doggy door, he'll be sure to let you know when he has to go out.

The ideal home for Blackjack is one with a fenced yard where he can run and play (or with someone who can bring him to a dog park regularly so he can run, run, run). Having a playful dog companion and/or some children in the home would be his dream come true. This pup has the winning hand (errrr, paw!) and he's ready to split the jackpot with his forever family.
