Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue

Kerry

Adult | Female | Adopted

Kerry was a stray cocker mix who found herself in a Maryland shelter. Since she appeared to be both bathed and groomed recently, the shelter staff were positive that someone would come to claim her, but no one did. This young girl is between 3-4 years old and OBG was called to help find her a true forever home.

One of the things that made the shelter curious was that Kerry refused to eat her kibble. So they tried a different brand. She still wouldn't eat. And another. Nope. It wasn't until they put down a bowl of the highest-quality kibble they had that Kerry would eat! This girl has champagne tastes, it seems!

From our initial observations and the report from the shelter, Kerry is a sweet girl who is a bit head shy. (Did you know it's best to pet dogs on the chin or chest rather than the head?) She likes other dogs and will climb into your lap for petting once she's comfortable with you. We have not yet tested her with cats or children.

We'll know more about Kerry once she moves from the vet to her foster home.
