Hutchison

With his smushy little face and freckles sprinkled across the bridge of his nose, don’t you just want to give him a hug?  He’d accept it graciously, because as his distinguished name suggests, Hutchison’s a true gentleman!  In fact, as he was leaving the shelter, he met two tiny little girls who came over to hug and kiss him – and he returned their kisses with delight!



It’s hard to believe this handsome boy was a stray, but at 8 years old, he’s ready to give up his traveling ways – other than daily walks or fun family trips.  With his long legs, he’s a great walking buddy!  He’d be wonderful in so many family situations – he does well with other dogs, is quiet and respectful, and greets strangers carefully and gently.  He got rave reviews from the vet staff where he boarded and bonded quickly with them too.



Hutch does need a little TLC in the medical department – years of neglect have left his ears in a rather precarious state, but with careful medical management (daily cleanings, special drops, and regular vet checks) he’ll still hear you when you call him for some hugs and kisses!Hutch also has something called dry eyes which can also be controlled with prescription drops that will keep his peepers moist and gleaming. He still sees very well.  A few minutes per day are easily worth a lifetime of happiness.



The word we keep hearing over and over when describing him is “gentle”  – and who couldn’t use more calm and zen in their life?
