Bo

We suspect that Bo and his brother Luke are Boykin Spaniels. They are both a gorgeous warm chocolate color with red highlights and golden eyes. Bo & Luke were likely backyard breeder or mill dogs that were dumped by the side of the road by an uncaring "human." Luckily, they were scooped up and brought to the shelter and now have safe foster homes with OBG.  (Local trainer Jeni Grant does a free conference call monthly to help parents of puppy mill dogs.)

Bo is about 2 years old and weighs in at 27 lbs. Because of his history he is fearful of new situations and new people but once he gets comfortable he is a sweetheart!  As a result, Bo would prefer a home without kiddos but would enjoy a canine companion.

At his young age, he still has some puppy energy and likes to play ball or with dog toys.  He’s (newly) housebroken and roams his foster home freely with two foster siblings whom he gets along with great.  He loves treats and FOOD – he always finishes his meals before his foster siblings and tries to “help” them finish theirs as well!  He has not been observed around cats or children.
