Blue is a 28# curly-cutie cockapoo who was tearfully surrendered by his owner, who had to move to a place that wouldn't allow dogs. We promised her that we'd find the absolute perfect home for her precious boy, and that's what we're going to do!

This 4-year-old is great with other dogs, energetic, and loves to play (he particularly enjoys de-stuffing toys), but he's also totally up for snuggling up with you while you watch TV. His previous owner reports that he even has a bedtime - 10 pm! That's when he would go to his crate and sleep until 7 am. If you're on a similar schedule, then Blue's an even better fit for you!

Blue's foster mom reports that he is housebroken and stands by the front door to let her know that he needs to go out.  While he isn't fond of the backyard at her home - he needs a lot of coaxing to go out there - he didn't mind the backyard at his vacation foster's home.  He is always happy to go for a walk out front.  His leash manners have some room for improvement, and since he seems so smart, we are positive that he will learn quickly.  He is a velcro dog who follows his foster mom everywhere.  He sleeps on the floor or in a dog bed.  He used to not get up on the furniture, but his foster siblings have taught him to do so.

What is Blue's ideal home?  Blue's foster mom feels that he would be happiest in a home with other dogs or with someone who is home most of the time.  He is quiet, so he would do well in a condo or single family home.  He does not like it when strange dogs surprise him or spend too much time up in his face, so he would like to avoid apartment buildings with elevators.  Blue resource guards chew toys with ferocity, so not only do we recommend never giving him any, but we also recommend teenagers or older for him.  Blue gets a little overwhelmed at the adoption shows, so he probably craves stability a little more than most dogs.  If you think you fit the bill, please contact us!
