Julian

Julian is a vibrant 5 year old Cocker, who is currently living with his foster family and their own dog in the heart of DC. He is an easy-going pup. All the lights and sounds and sirens of the city haven't fazed him one bit. He gets so much attention everywhere they walk. Isn't he handsome? At a healthy and slim 23 lbs, he is looking great and loving walks. He can go for miles. He is learning leash manners right now, as he probably hasn't been on a leash for quite some time. He doesn't pull; he just has so much new stuff to sniff in his fosters neighborhood!

Julian knows many commands, such as sit, shake, other paw, down, and come. He is fully housetrained and loves a soft place to chill out like on a dog bed or favorite chair. Julian is pretty independent, and he has no food or toy aggression. He prefers not to be crated, and that's a-okay because he is perfectly well behaved with the full run of the house all day long. Julian has lived with children in his previous home, and we are told he got along well with them.

Boy, has Julian had quite the summer! Since his humans were no longer able to care for him, he spent some time at a the veterinary clinic in VA.  Upon arrival at the vets office, several regular tests were done to check his overall health, and while there were a several additional tests done, it turned out Julian is a-okay. He has a history of ear infections in the left ear (likely made worse by food allergies), so Julian is on a hypoallergenic diet. While his ear doesn't hurt him at all now, his new furever family will need to be mindful of proper cocker ear care, that is weekly cleaning…. easy!
