Sander

Hi everybody, I'm Sander! It's so nice to meet you! I'll bet you're thinking, "That handsome guy sure doesn't look like a Cocker Spaniel..." and you'd be right! I'm a perfect mix of Cocker and Beagle with a dash of terrier. But all you need is to look at my pictures to know that I am CUTE, if I do say so myself.

I'm a year and a half old and love to wag my tail. In fact, I don't even realize it's wagging. My foster mom says that all that wagging is burning off calories and keeping me nice and lean. (17 pounds of muscle! *flex*)

Life is awesome. I love running around in the fenced backyard with my foster brother. This one time, foster mom gave me a bone. I carried it like my baby,  walking around the house and the yard looking high and low to find a place to hide it. The other day, I found the most secure place in the backyard. I dug a little hole, hid my bone, and covered it up with dirt. Not even my foster brother can find it! Of course, most of the time, I don't mind sharing with him.

I also love to give kisses. When my foster mom and dad sit on a sofa to watch TV, I like to sit in between them and give non-stop kisses to both of them. I love humans, and this is my way of showing them how much I love them! Eventually, they'll laugh and say, "Okay, okay, we got it. Settle down." Then I know they've gotten my message and I'll snuggle into a lap and sleep. (Heaven!)

Where do I want to live? I have a lot of playing to do, so I am wishing pretty hard for a family with other dogs. (But recently, I've decided I prefer adult humans to children, so no kids, please.) Speaking of play, I really, really, really want a fenced in yard where I can practice my sprinting. I'm Olympics-bound! I promise I'm totally housebroken and I don't fight over treats or toys. Foster mom is helping me learn to walk better on a leash... or maybe she's just too slow. Are you faster?

My goal is that by the time I meet you, I will know how to sit and shake for a yummy treat!
