Sweet Lucy Lou went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning.  She had cancer and dementia and has been declining over the last week. Even though she was blind and deaf, Lucy had a wonderful life with her foster Helene since coming to OBG in October with her sister, Sissy.  She will be missed!

Hi! It's me, Lucy Lou, but you can call me Lucy for short. I'm a beautiful 11-year-old, 24 pound cockapoo. I lived with my last family my entire life, but circumstances changed, and it was best for me to find another home.  Don't worry - I didn't do anything wrong.

I am house-trained, gentle and adore snuggling on laps. I get along nicely with other dogs and the children who stop by for an occasional visit.   I am slowing down a bit they say, as I'm mostly blind and deaf.  When I'm not snoozing I actively seek out affection though!

Unfortunately, after a recent trip to the vet, my doc believes I have cancer.   The good news is my foster family is taking great care of me and providing me with lots of love.  I am grateful for this comfy, warm place to spend my golden years.
