Daisy Mae

Hi world, it's me, Daisy Mae!  I'm a pretty 1-2 year old basset mix looking for a new last name.  Although you may be searching for a cocker spaniel on this website (just a hunch!), I'm hoping I can win you over so you'll make me yours!

I am a very friendly girl and folks tell me I couldn't be sweeter if I tried.  I hail from West Virginia where I felt the need to explore a lot; so much so that I had a few close calls with cars zooming by me.  Hey, I have a good sniffer, so it can be tempting to travel if the option is available!  A kind neighbor convinced my owner that I would be better off with a family who has a fenced-in yard to keep me safe.  Boy, would I love a fenced-in yard!

I am not quite house-trained, but I could learn very quickly.  I keep my crate clean, so that's a good start, and I do my business as soon as I get outside.  I am very treat-motivated.  While the crate is not my favorite place, I like it more now that I'm getting a treat when I go inside it.

I LOVE other dogs and I LOVE kids.  To me, very small dogs and cats are like big squirrels - I do like to chase.  In general, I still have some puppy ways, but I'm a super, sweet girl who is ready to find a family of my own.
