Gavin

Meet honorary cocker Gavin!  We think he is a 5-6 year old border collie mix.  He weighs in a bit more than the average cocker at 55 pounds!  Our cute boy has a lot of bushy hair however so that makes him appear bigger than he really is!  This great guy was a stray and ended up at a high kill shelter where he quickly became a shelter favorite. When his time was up, the shelter staff shared their rave reviews with OBG and we happily accepted him into our cocker club!

 

Gavin's foster family tells us he has an idealic moderate energy level.  He likes to run around the backyard, but he's also happy to be chilling on the sofa or the bed when inside.  He must have been somebody's house pet because we're happy to tell you he is 100% housebroken!

 

G is good with dogs of all sizes and fits in well with his many foster siblings.  Sometimes, when the mood strikes, he likes to play with his fellow canines, but other times he'd rather do his own thing.  Not to worry, they communicate very well and he lets the other dogs know when he wants some solo time.  We haven't seen Gavin around kids but are happy to test him if you're interested!

 

The first thing you'll notice about Gavin is that his tail is always wagging!!  He is very affectionate and gives kisses to his favorite peeps.  He tires his darndest to be a lap dog, he really does, but due to his large stature, he just can't get comfortable when he tries to lay on his human's lap!  He gets an A for effort though, as he often fidgets for a good 30 minutes before giving up.  :-)
