There are so many words to describe Sam (I Am), but it might all come down to one: darling!

Sam is a charming gentleman who is friendly to all he meets. He wants nothing more in life than to be a wonderful family pet! He loves attention, and he responds to affection & direction from both men & women. He is house trained and goes to the back door when he wants to go outside; he also promptly takes care of business, which is very convenient when the weather is less than ideal.

Sam has been going out & about quite a bit with his foster family to explore the world! He walks nicely on lead and would love to find a companion with whom to enjoy the neighborhood and walking trails. He also visited the farmer's market recently and soaked up all of the attention he received; he really is very cute, so people love to say hi! He rides very well in the car, jumping right in for the next adventure and relaxing in the backseat once underway. Speaking of adventures, Sam has recently started attending a training class for foster dogs, and he really enjoys it. He wants to please and is very treat motivated, so he is happy to follow direction.

The biggest surprise about Sam is how much energy he has. At 10, he may technically be a senior guy, but he is no couch potato. He has a great amount of "adult" energy. He is not constantly moving like a puppy, but he does enjoy toys and activities. In other words, he is a perfect balance of playful and relaxed, curling up next to you after a good walk or play session. Here is a video of Sam enjoying a kong after a busy day of activities.

In
Sam'
s past life, he was clearly not encouraged to get onto furniture, so he is happy to curl up on a dog bed next to you on the floor. If you want to snuggle on the couch together, though, he could surely learn if invited! He just wants to be together. Sam

would do very well as an only dog, or if he does have a canine sibling, his one request is that his friend not have much interest in toys. He really loves his toys and does not like to share them. There is just too much fun to be had with them on his own!

Sam's family will be so lucky to have him! If you are looking for a darling fella to adore, contact his foster family today.
