Darcy

Hi everyone!  My name is Darcy and I'm a 11-year-old beauty (I'm a New Year's Day baby).  I am looking for a new family to love because a baby human showed up on the scene, and I'm not a fan of being hugged or woken up by toddlers.  I'm a pretty fabulous pup, so I think we should connect!

I am a sweet, wonderful girl.  I'm a bit of a girly girl and a velcro dog.  I will follow you everywhere!  For fun, I love spending a day at the spa and getting pampered.  I also get SO excited and jump at every chance I get to go "bye bye" in the car!  I'm very loving and great with people (ages 7 and up).  I enjoy snuggling, though I'm not exactly a lap dog, but I can also be also active if you make plans for us to hit the town.  I'm easy to please and super easy to love.  I'm house-trained, too!

You may think that I am a couch potato because I am 11 years old, but that is not true at all.  I still have a lot of pep and energy, and I need my daily exercise.  I am in great health (good vision and hearing).  I only take proin for urinary leakage, and it helps me a lot.  I do like to go out about every 4 hours or so during the day.  I sleep all night with my people (sometimes I like to sleep on top of the clothes piled up on the closet floor).

The only thing I can think of that I don't love are loud, scary thunderstorms.  In general, I'm very easy to train because I'm a true cocker (i.e. super food motivated).  I will look at you like I haven't eaten for 3 days, even though you just gave me breakfast 3 hours ago. 

Foster parents say I'd do best in a single family home because I'm vocal for a few minutes after they leave, just saying my goodbyes :)  I bond quickly and watch out for my foster parents, being a fab guard dog is just another service I offer!  I am great around dogs my own size, though I adore being an only dog.  I am also great with cats.
