Timber

Hello! My name is Timber, and I'm an adorable cocker mix looking for a home! I'm three years old, 20 pounds, black and a little white and all beautiful! You can call me Woody for short, though, like my foster Mom and Dad!  I am a very sweet little fellow, if I say so myself! (and everyone else says so too including the vet office!)

I love going for walks with my foster parents and smelling everything in the woods and fields near my foster home. I mostly walk well on my leash although sometimes I get really excited if I see a rabbit or cat or squirrel, and then I runl – I just want to catch them but I come back when called! I would love a family that would take me on long walks every day so I can catch up on all the news in my neighborhood (and leave a few messages of my own!). I settle nicely when I get back from my walk, and I LOVE laps and give great hugs! I will stand and reach your knee and hug you till you stroke me and love me back!  Being the center of attention is great. While a forever home where I can be the only "child" would be fantastic, I'd be okay with a dog sibling as long as they let me have lap privileges. I love food too – I would definitely try to steal it from you if I had the opportunity, so probably no little children for me, please. Older ones would be just fine and dandy. At my first adoption show, I spotted two younger children and went and sat down with them quietly for strokes!  I would love someone who is home a lot, as I don’t like it when my humans go out and cry for a little while but I do settle down after a while. My preference is for you to be home lots and lots! That way, with being together all the time, I would learn to sit patiently and wait and all the other commands my foster family are training me to do. Mom thinks I might be good on an agility course too. I am a wiggly little fellow so a fenced yard would be fun too and keep me safe if I chase too hard!

I am so excited to meet you all! I give kisses a lot and smile a lot too! And if you want to spend a while rubbing my tummy, that would be just fine with me! Who knows what my mix is, but my family keep telling me I am a cute and pretty little fellow. Foster Mom and Dad say I am pretty well housetrained too!  I love to jump, jump, jump! I take my foster family for walks too – I take hold of the leash and make sure they pay attention and stay close to me – they always laugh when I do that! I love to play tug of war, so lots of great pull toys for me!  I love chasing balls and bring them back to be thrown again.

I have just been neutered  and am now ready for my new family!  I just know that I will find my forever home, because I'm just that good lookin,' mr personality plus! I will be looking for you to come pick me up! Don’t wait, because I know I am going to get adopted quickly! I will see you all at the next adoption show in Maryland!
