Ling

Hello there! My name is Ling, and I have quite the story to tell.  I keep most of my past a secret (including my age.  I'm likely 11+ years old), but I will say that I was once found as a stray in rural Virginia.  I got all spruced up and then was adopted by a loving, older couple.  Unfortunately, my person was in a bad car accident, and despite trying her best to get strong enough to care for me again, she made the tough decision to surrender me to OBG.  So, I'm now looking for a permanent place to hang my leash.

My foster family loves me.  I am excellent with dogs and cats.  I'm even patient with little children - no one has ever seen any aggression from me.  I am 100% house-trained - I've never had an accident.  I am super quiet, too - no one has ever heard me bark.  I do not pester you for attention, but you'll know I love you because I'll quietly follow you from room to room and lie down by your feet.  Stairs are hard for me, but I can manage a few of them to go inside and outside a home.  I sleep on the main floor in my foster home, since I don't love being carried and the full flight of stairs to the bedrooms is too much for me.  I'm hard of hearing, but that doesn't seem to bother anyone.  The only medication I take is an ointment to keep my eyes moist.  I enjoy going for little walks, but I won't win any races.  Oh!  I should mention that I am not a morning dog.  I prefer to get up and eat breakfast long after the sun rises.
