Rufus is an eight-year-old chocolate-colored cocker spaniel who was found on the side of a North Carolina road by a good samaritan.  Rufus was thrown out of a moving car's window, the good samaritan saw this, stopped and picked him up.  She took Rufus to her vet and after initial vetting,  Rufus was transported to OBG.

Rufus is a very friendly and sweet dog who was calm and quiet during his examination when he clearly was uncomfortable.  He is patient and loving.  Rufus weighs 29 pounds and is already showing us how smart he is.  Rufus knows that he is supposed to do his business outside and so he probably at one time lived in a house.

Chew toys are a favorite past time and he likes them nice and strong.  We are not sure if he likes the squeaky ones.  He also gets along well with kids and cats.  Bonus points for Rufus!  We told you he is a winner!  Rufus has a cataract in one eye, but this eye still has some vision.  He gets around very well with no problems.
