Nigel

Come and get to know this special boy from Tennessee. He is about 4 years old, neutered already, and is good with people, dogs and cats.

He was lost and loves to shop at Walmart!  Every time the door opened, he would follow them into the store!   Someone loved him because he is so sweet and his little nub wags a lot!

Nigel will need to have OBG-sponsored treatment for heartworms, which is so easy to prevent.  He has to be kept nice and quiet for two months during his treatment.  After that, he will be as good as new. He travels well, and is okay on the leash and is really laid back and mellow.

Nigel is good with other dogs but hasn't been observed around cats. We suspect he will do well with them because of his laidback nature. He is housetrained, and looks at the door when he wants to go out. If he can't wait much longer he will sit right by the door until you take him out.

He does need training, he may have been just let out when he needed into a backyard, but he is quickly learning leash walking and doesn't pull  Training would be a great way to bond with him as he learns commands like sit and wait.  He has full run of the house in his foster home, and he would do well in a home where someone is home a lot. He doesn't care for it when his folks leave, but this may wear off as he realizes he is safe now and his family will not abandon him.  His foster says he is quiet and not at all pushy, but is grateful for any affection shown to him!
