Rusty Nail

Rusty's story is heartbreaking but something we see too often in rescue.  Rusty's loving owner was moving into an assisted living facility in North Caroline and limited to just one dog.  Rusty's' owner was forced to make the painful decision to give up the larger of the two dogs.  The owner contacted local rescues but no local rescue was able to take 10 year old senior Rusty so the owner turned to their vet to have Rusty euthanized.  The vet reached out to find a rescue and OBG happily accepted Rusty into our family.

Rusty was well taken care of and has been wonderful for all his vetting.  He is good with other dogs since he lived with one plus he was in a temporary foster home with another dog.  Rusty is housebroken too. He does have some arthritis in one leg but that doesn't slow him down at all.
