Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue

Cubby Bud

Likes Cats?
No

Cubby Bud is a very handsome classic cocker. At four years old, CB found himself homeless when it became apparent to his family that they were too busy to care for him. Cubby Bud AKA Buddy does well with other dogs but can become a bit vocal when initially meeting larger dogs. Once he makes his presence known he is okay. He is currently bunking with another dog in his foster home and is doing quite well. He has not been exposed to cats so we don't know what his reaction to them would be. In his former home, he lived with older school-aged kids but in his foster home, we've realized that he may guard items that he feels have a "high value". Because of his inability to share certain items, such as rawhides and socks, with his humans, an older teen or adult household may be best. He does not seem to guard items from other dogs though. CB likes to ride in the car and does well when walking on a leash. He is housebroken, and while his foster family is gone, has "free roam" of their home. Buddy has wonderful house manners and doesn't chew on things that belong to his family. This sweet boy walks well on a leash but is also content doing his business in a fenced backyard. He is very food motivated so his family would need to keep tasty treats out of his reach. Buddy is not food or toy possessive with other dogs. Cubby Bud is a healthy guy. Our vet has recommended a rabbit/potato dog food or something similar recommended for allergy/skin issues. Cubby Bud is definitely looking for a new "buddy" who will make him a loved and an active family member. Buddy loves to lounge on the couch and will wrap one of his paws around your hand to get you to scratch his tummy.
