Rocky Rocket

Rocky Rocket was surrendered to a local shelter when his military family was sent overseas. This cute 7 to 8-year-old has decided to move forward and knows that his forever family is out there. He's a little nervous some times because of all the changes in his life, so he would prefer an adult only home with experienced dog owners. In exchange, his adopter will have a true gem of a dog!

Rocky Rocket's foster family adores him. He is housebroken and from the first day in his foster home, he would ask to go out in such an excited way that it's impossible to miss what his intentions are. He has now also learned to use the doggy door. He has earned his foster family's trust so he is not crated when they leave home.

Rocky said that people are great but other dogs are tops in Rocky's world! He LOVES other dogs! His foster home has several other doggy residents and Rocky was not one bit nervous when the pack descended on him. He charged right into the pack wagging his tail like meeting all these other dogs, big and small, was the best thing ever! He loves chasing tennis balls and excitedly waits for the play time at the end of every day when his foster mom and dad get home from work. Now they are just hoping that at some point, he will also learn to retrieve all the balls he chases. LOL! He also likes to carry stuffed toys and squeaky toys around the house. Rocky's other favorite thing to do is to cuddle with his people! He is a true cocker lap dog.

Rocky is one of those dogs that is the complete package--friendly, playful, housebroken, comical, you name it. Unfortunately, this awesome pooch still doesn't have a forever family to call his own. Won't you consider making Rocky Rocket a member of your family?
