OBG Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Northern Virginia - oldies but goodies

Dogs Available

You can find just the dog you are looking for within each category.  These pages are updated frequently with all the special cockers and honorary cockers looking for new homes.  Check this page often or visit these dogs "in the fur" at an Oldies But Goodies Adoption Day event.  Please read our adoption policies before you consider adopting a rescued cocker spaniel from OBG.

If you would like some assistance in finding a dog, please send an email to adoptinquiry@cockerspanielrescue.com.  An adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours.  Please consider your vacation and other travel plans when submitting an application for a specific dog.  We are unable to hold dogs for extended periods of time.

In addition please look at the courtesy and emergency postings which may have dogs in your area. We also suggest our related links page and www.petfinder.com to point you to a cocker in your area.

OBG - Best Friends: A complete list of all dogs being fostered or boarded by OBG until they find their new home.  In most cases, they are ready for immediate adoption.

OBG - Special Needs: OBG dogs appearing on this page have special needs that require significant medical treatment or require a special home to help them overcome their past.  Your donations / sponsorship can make a big difference.

OBG - Favorite Dogs:  These more mature OBG dogs are our favorites of our Foster families. They have a calm gentle nature that makes them wonderful companions, and they often have plenty of good years left.
OBG - Just Arrived Needs a Foster Home:  These dogs recently came in to OBG and are undergoing evaluation and medical vetting.  They are not available for adoption yet.  If you are interested in fostering, please email fosters@cockerspanielrescue.com.

Courtesy and Emergency Postings: These Cocker buddies are  with other rescue organizations and individuals. Some are listed as Emergency, which means they are in danger of being put down.  OBG posts them on our site as a courtesy.   If you see a pup that interests you, please contact them directly.
