Courtesy and Emergency Postings

Dogs appearing on our Courtesy Postings page are exactly that: posted as a favor to other individuals and organizations.  Dogs listed as Emergency have little or no time left. Many of these dogs are also on OBG's "waiting list" to come into an OBG foster home when an opening becomes available (OBG's foster homes are always full). If you are interested in or would like more information on any of these dogs please contact directly the person listed on each dog's page.

Charlie

 Hello,

I'm need for a good home for Charlie, my Cocker Spaniel.  Charlie came to my family and I about 8 years ago because my younger son at that time was in need for a companion after he older brother suddenly passed away.  Travis has graduated from college and moved away.  My husband and I travel at times and we found ourselves very busy.  Our extended families have medical challenges and we are back and forth.  Charlie is a very loving, kind, and peaceful dog.  He has such a good nature and people seem to gravitate to him. Charlie loves children and would be great with special needs children. He is houstraine, up to date on all shots and is nuetered. There is something very special about Charlie.  He has been a blessing to us and I would like for him to be a blessing to someone else that can love and appreciate him.  Charlie is overall in good health.  We have 13 steps in our house and Charlie still climbs those stairs and lay under my bed.  Please email me at
www.holding2jc@aol.com  or call at 804-745-7715, cell: 804-647-3771. and we can talk much more about Charlie.  Thank you for  taking the time to read about about my Charlie.

Bam Bam is a wonderful, loving 12 year old shepard/beagel mix in the DC area. His foster family took him in when the foster mom's aunt had to move to Florida to a nursing home. Unfortunately, the foster mom is allergic to sweet Bam Bam and must find him another home.

Bam Bam is a laid back guy who is devoted to owners and loves to follow them around. He is good with other dogs and people of all ages, including children. He especially loves to share his love with his family. He is also a little hard of hearing but does good with hand signals. He also enjoys his walks on the leash and walks very well.

Can you please give Bam Bam a forever home? email us at a-new-you@comcast.net

Opal

Opal is a gem of a girl, a 25-lb package of cuteness and affection. This 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel was rescued from a South Carolina puppy mill where she was unable to enjoy a normal dog’s life: cramped quarters, no walks, no dog parks, not even her own comfy bed. Since arriving in DC, however, things are looking up.
