Dogs appearing on our Courtesy Postings page are exactly that: posted as a favor to other individuals and organizations. Dogs listed as Emergency have little or no time left. Many of these dogs are also on OBG's "waiting list" to come into an OBG foster home when an opening becomes available (OBG's foster homes are always full). If you are interested in or would like more information on any of these dogs please contact directly the person listed on each dog's page.
My name is Jolly Ranchers or Ranchers for short. I am an 8 year-old Bloodhound/Beagle mix. My beloved owner is unable to take care of me and will be moving into assisted living soon where doggies are not permitted. I have been very loved and it just breaks the hearts of other family members that cannot take me either. All of this aside, I am a healthy and happy boy. I get along with other dogs and cats too. I am current on all shots and neutered. Along with being house broken I love car rides and chew toys! I know some consider 8 years old to be middle aged ? but I still have many years ahead of me and would be grateful to be your family pet member. Hi, my name is Ollie. I am an adorable & loving 3 y.o. male cockapoo. I weigh 12 pounds, have beautiful light red hair, and like all cockapoos I do not shed and am hypoallergenic. I currently live with a wonderful family that has taken very good care of me since I was a puppy. I am housebroken, neutered, up to date on my shots, microchipped & in great health. I’m an excellent running and walking partner and I love to play catch and fetch. I’d do best in a home where I can get plenty of exercise, ideally with a fenced yard where I can run. I have had professional obedience training, know the basic commands and listen well. My current family has several other pets and small children and unfortunately this has not been a good fit for me. I am a wonderful dog in so many ways, but I like to get all the attention and have not learned how to share. Otherwise I am a loving and loyal dog. I need to find a new home where I am the only pet and there are no kids. My new owner should have experience with dogs. There is an adoption process that includes, reference & vet check and a home visit. There is a $100 adoption fee. Name-Max Age-5 Years Weight-35 Lbs. Gender-Neutered Male Breed-Cocker Mix Current on vaccines and HW meds, microchipped. ASHEVILLE NC My name is Max. I am a little confused as to why I am back in a shelter. You see, I was adopted from a shelter about 2 years ago and my family really seemed to love me, but when my best buddy went off to school, I ended up back in the shelter. No one at the shelter can figure out why any one would dump a dog like me. I have been back at the shelter now for almost a year, although lucky for me, I moved into a foster home a few months ago. I am a middle aged fellow, my vet guesses around 5, which is the perfect age if you ask me. I am house trained and I love to sleep in my crate. I don't chew on anything and while I can be a little vocal with other dogs, I have yet to meet one that I don't get along with. I love to go for walks, but I am also perfectly content to sleep in my bed all day. The perfect home for me is some one who is looking for a calmer companion. While I will like to play and I enjoy going for walks, I probably won't make the best jogging partner. I would enjoy a home either with or with out other dogs. I get along great with my foster siblings, but I would not be to sad to be the only dog. I also have three kitty foster siblings that I enjoy the company of. I was neutered many moons ago and I get monthly pills to keep the fleas and heart worms away from me. I also get my years shots. My vet thinks I am a Cocker Spaniel mix, but he is not sure what I am mixed with. I am full grown at about 35 pounds. If you are interested in giving me a forever home please contact my foster mom. There is an adoption application to ensure the best match between me and my new family. There is no adoption fee to make me a part of your life, but I would like it if you would make a donation to the rescue that saved me so that they can continue their good work.
