Hi! My name is Reese (just like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup) and I’m a sweet, beautiful, chocolate guy.
My foster mom describes me as an intelligent (am I blushing?) 5-year old boy who is eager to learn new things and eager to please. I have a lot of energy and am very curious about my surroundings – my nose is to the ground sniffing every time I go for a walk! I do well on the leash and enjoy going outside.
I get along with other dogs as long as they are my size or smaller. I’m not overly fond of big dogs. I am crate trained and almost housetrained. When I first came to OBG, housetraining was an issue (embarrassing!). However, my foster mom says I’ll be fully trained in now time. I am also working on my sit and down commands and my foster parents are very excited and impressed with my progress so far.
I’m playful, affectionate, and have lots of energy. I’d like to have a good home with people who will play with me, teach me new things, and incorporate me into their daily lives. Unfortunately I have cataracts and cannot see too well, but I am having surgery soon and can’t wait to see better so I can play even more!
I also have a quiet and affectionate side. I just love to snuggle in my foster Mom and Dad’s laps and get rubs. I love to be around people and am good with children. I also get along with my foster cocker brother.
I hope to meet you one of these days, maybe at an upcoming adoption event. I’d really like to find a place I can call home so I can live with people who will treat me well. I promise, I’ll love you back just as much – and more!
