Sonny is a nice boy who's owner gave him and his sister Betsy up because of the owner's health issues. Besty got adopted almost right away, but Sonny is still searching for his forever home. Sonny came to us blind but we were able to restore sight in one eye since by removing a cataract. He is 3 weeks past the surgery now and is doing great. Sonny has a good personality and is a love bug, but is a bit hesitant at first when greeting strangers. He sometimes barks a bit when he meets someone for the first time. He led a very hard life, being blind and kept outside without a lot of human interaction, so he obviously learned this as a defensive mechanism. Since the surgery, he is still getting used to seeing with one eye and is still hesitant with strangers, but he warms up quickly. He does great with other dogs and loves for someone to be home as much as possible. He is his foster mom’s shadow and never leaves her side. He also loves to sleep on the bed. Because of his sight being limited to one eye and his hesitance with strangers, Sonny would be best in a home without children. Once he's settled in Sonny is very sweet and cuddly and really likes to be around people. He's fine with being crated and is fine riding in the car. He loves jerky treats!! Since he was kept outside, we've been working on his housebreaking - and he's doing really well. He's in remarkably good health and has a great personality for a dog that's been kept outside all his life. Can you provide
