I thought I would send you a quick email to give you an update on Cookie.
I have not been able to get my home email back up and running so I'm sending
this
from work.
Cookie is GREAT! He is the best dog. We have been going
to basic obedience class and he is learning very quick. He sits and
stays and waits for me to
release him for his food. He can sit, go down and stand on command.
We are also working on walking on the lease without pulling (we still need some
work
but he is doing good).
I got him groomed last week. I found a great groomer. I spoke
to her for a while before I made the appointment. Cookie did good.
He was ok with
everything but his face. He did not like having the clippers near his face
but she got it done. She feels confident that it is just a matter of
getting him
use to it. I'm going to take him every 6 weeks for a while.
He looks like a different dog. I've taken some pictures that I'll
send to you.
The ear clearning is going well too. I've been using the wipes and he lets
me clean his ears fairly well. He is still nervous but he stands
there while I
clean them (of course I give him a treat when I'm done).
We walk 3 times a day. Everyone that meets him falls in love with
him (I'm sure you at not surprised). Let me know which
adoption days you will be
attending in the upcoming weeks and I may try to get out and bring Cookie so you
can see him and talk with you more about some volunteer work.
