Maggie
Adopted February 2004 Page last updated on Saturday, March 31, 2007.
Maggie is a cheerful Cocker Spaniel/Dachsund mix who follows her foster mom and dad around the house, and is always ready to play, cuddle, or hang out with the family and watch TV. She enjoys romping around in the back yard, going for walks, and riding in the car. Although she’s around 8 years old, she has the energy of a much younger dog! She gets along well with kids and cats but can get a bit feisty with other dogs. Maggie is housebroken and crate trained and happily goes into her crate when it’s time for her foster mom and dad to go to work. As the picture shows above - she loves her tummy rubs! We have treated Maggie for nighttime incontinence, a condition not uncommon in older dogs. She will need to be on this pill medication permanently. She knows the sit and no commands, and is getting better at the stay and down commands. Maggie has a happy bark when she’s excited but is not a dog that barks “just because.” Do you have room in your heart and home for this wonderful little dog who has so much love to give?
