Beth's new mom, Dede, describes her new  home...

I had looked for a dog for at least six months and finally found her on the Internet, through the cocker spaniel rescue league.  Her name is Beth.  She is a mixed breed, and described as looking like a "miniature cocker spaniel."  The regular cockers were a little larger than I wanted, and I had frequently thought, "I wish I could find a miniature cocker spaniel."  When I saw this, I contacted the rescue league and got the ball rolling.  All the people I encountered with the rescue league were friendly and very helpful.

I fell in love with this sweet little dog the moment I laid eyes on her.  She is ideal for me.  She is by my side constantly, loves to walk, play and cuddle.   The vet said her health is just fine. She's has black curly hair all over and weighs 15 pounds.  Everyone thinks she's a puppy until they look closely.  Her eyebrows have several gray hairs which help remind me we're roughly the same age!   When she's in the city, she sleeps a lot and takes me for about 3 long walks a day.   She guards the house anticipating the invasion of the furry squirrels and their foot soldiers, the chipmunks.  When she goes to my parent's farm in Virginia, she's free of her leash.  The cattle look smaller from the distance, but as she gets closer she realizes the difference in size and will come back quickly begging to be protected. She loves to swim in the pool in this hot weather and delights in playing throw and retrieve with anyone who has the stamina. She only barks if someone comes to the door, and only growls when motorcycles cruise by the car window.  I love her dearly and am so glad I'm able to give her all the attention she deserves.

Thank you Cocker Spaniel Rescue League for your outstanding work in helping our lives to be brighter!
