AKA Charlie

ADOPTED 8/29/99
My husband and I adopted "Jerry Lee" a little over
about 17 months ago. We changed his name to "Charlie" on
the way home from adoption. Two days after adoption, I broke my foot
while taking "Charlie" for his afternoon
walk and he was very protective of me (in a very nice way) while I was in my
moon boot cast - my stepfather passed away a couple of months later and he
seemed to since something unpleasant was happening and sat in my lap as a
comfort for me - what a love!
We did have some adjusting to do and some medical problems to
work with but, we're a happy family now! He LOVES to play with my husband
and balls of all kinds are the toy of choice.
He truly has a wonderful personality - warm and cuddly, fun and
playful - (he's got us trained well! :) He has favorite neighbors
that he can get hugs and pets from AND loves to steel the neighbor's dog's toys,
that are left out - especially the balls. HE LOVES BALLS!!! It seems to be
OK though and no one gets mad or upset. I'm sure it's because he think of
himself as SO cute and
the neighbor thinks the same.
I can't express the happiness and joy this little 30 pound treasure has
brought us. Thank you for what you are doing and keep up the good work.
