Chase and Sydnay

Page last updated on Saturday, March 31, 2007.

OBG volunteers were pleasantly surprised to find the above photo in their email boxes recently. Pictured above, offering kisses to his new Mom is Chase. Sydnay is looking on with his new ball.

For those that do not know Chase's story, he was a refugee from a "puppy mill in Kansas last summer. Chase had lived his entire life in a cage. Never knowing a kind human touch or even a "romp" in the grass. Chase waited in rescue for a few months as he learned how to live in a house and be part of a family, getting mentally ready for adoption.

When this very special family came forward, not only did they adopt Chase, but they offered to "foster" Sydnay. Foster mom Judy thought that having a cocker playmate to go along with Chase might help Chase's adjustment in his new life. But guess what? In stead of fostering Sydnay, they adopted him.
