Adopted October 2002
Ginsene is a 2 year old, black female who came to OBG after her owner died. No one else in the family cared to keep this sweet little girl. Here is the happy ending story from her new owner:

I know I promised this to you a while ago and I am sorry but here it is. The
Ginsene adoption story!
After the loss of my beloved female cocker I decided about a month later that I
wanted to adopt a new cocker. Not sure how this was going to go I went to
the Oldies but Goodies website to take a look at which doggies
needed homes.
While I was browsing the site I notice Ginsene and decided right then that
she was the dog for me. I noticed that she was supposed to be at a showing
in October at the Springfield Petsmart so that is where I went.
On the day of the showing I did not see Ginsene and no one knew
where she
was, so I walked some of the other lovable cockers while I waited for
Ginsene
to arrive. About an hour or so after I was there and coming back
from a walk
with another cocker, I noticed this little black cocker in a crate Looking
a bit sad and was told that this was Ginsene. Not looking like her picture
on
the website, I was very pleasantly surprised.
I went to one of the fosters and asked if anyone else was interested
in Ginsene and if it was okay could I take her for a walk. At this point
they said that she had a biting problem and did not take commands very
well, but I had decided when I saw her that that did not matter. I went over to
her cage and let her out for the walk. I put her leash on her and leaned in to
give her a kiss and she surprised me by kissing me first.
Sold!!!! Immediately I knew that she was my girl doggy.
We went for our walk and she held her head up high and her tail just
wagged.
She knew too that she was headed for a happy home.
It was October 19, 2002 when I adopted Ginsene and I could not be happier
in
my life. I adopted a lovable cocker named Doodles in March of 2000 and
they
get along great. So as you can see Ginsene has found her forever home. So
here's to happy endings!
Shawn =)
