ADOPTED 10/29/01

I was found in Cheasapeake, VA, half starving. Oldies But Goodies was contacted and they took me as part of their adoptive program. My new foster parents came down to Fredericksburg to get me and take me to their home. At first I was very affraid of my new surroundings -- all those strange noises and smells. They started to do all this "stuff" to me -- like take me to the vet's where I got shots; give me a bath; clean my ears; trim all the knots out of my fur; feed me vitamins; give me two meals a day; provide all the clean water I wanted... all of a sudden I started to feel better and put on weight!! Boy, do I look good now!!!

Then, I got all this loving and encouragement that I was a "good boy". I didn't know how to let them know I was thankful, so I started to press my cold wet nose to their faces ... I was holding off on the "licks" until I knew I had them wrapped around my paw. It didn't take long -- One lick and they adopted me!!!

I now have my own king size bed that I let my new Mommy and Daddy share with me. Each night I collect my six most favorate stuff toys that I have scattered around the house and carefully place around me before I can fall asleep. Each afternoon my Forever Mommy takes me for an hour walk up to the college campus where there are no cars and it is safe for me to run free and chase squirrels. I haven't quite figured out where those gosh darn squirrels disappear to!!!

In addition to my "Forever Family", I have an entire cul-de-sac of friends. They come by to visit or I go with my Mommy and Daddy to visit. One friend always has a treat for me when I see her! So, I make lots of visits to that house! Life is good now -- I have a full tummy, lots of love'n, but most of all a "Forever Home".

An Oldies But Goodies Testament,

Buddy (formerly known as Wilbur)
