Blossom was rescued with a group of dogs (The Flower Pups) who did not receive proper socialization with humans during a critical period of their development, so she tends to be anxious and frightened around people.  But Blossom was raised around other dogs and is more relaxed when dogs are present.  She relies heavily on following the behaviors of dogs that are in her company.  Due to her history, it is a requirement that Blossom be adopted into a home with one or more doggie companions.

Blossom is making steady progress in her foster home.  She enjoys snuggling next to her foster family on the couch and curls up in bed with her foster Mom at night.  She also loves to snuggle with the other dogs in her foster home and has recently discovered the joys of toys, tug of war and running at high speed through the fall leaves.  Any potential adopters will need to be prepared to handle all that comes with a puppy (high activity, chewing, housebreaking reinforcement).  Blossom will need lots of patience and positivity from her new family to help her continue to bloom.

Blossom is a beautiful, healthy puppy at just 8 months old and 20 pounds. She is taller than most cockers, with long, lovely legs that might have some more growing to do.  She walks very nicely on a leash in the yard at her foster home but is not yet ready for walks through the neighborhood or the high level of activity at dog parks.  She is looking for a home with a fenced yard for security and no children under the age of 8.

Adoption shows are a bit overwhelming for Blossom at this time, so if you'd like to meet her, you are welcome to schedule a "meet and greet" with her foster family in northern Virginia.  If interested, please send an email at the link below to learn more about this sweet girl!
