Brody

Passing Date: March 30, 2010
Adopted: July-August 2006

Brody came into our lives July-August 2006 after we had lost our baby girl cocker spaniel (Cinnamon) who was 15. We had Cinnamon since she was a baby so she was a big part of our lives. We were not ready to get another dog after she died but my husband knew that I really wanted another dog and our house was too quiet without the four paws kind of noise. My husband took me to the pet adoption show at the Petsmart in Potomac Yards. That is where we first saw Brody with his foster mom (Teresa) who said we had to be careful when we touched him on his back because he was sensitive. We sat with him for a while as he was trying to eat greenies. He ended up giving both my husband and I kisses and I just fell in love with him.

The next weekend there was another pet adoption show at Pet Value in Rose Hill which is right by our house. We went again and Brody was there, again in the greenies. We filled out the paperwork to adopt him on Saturday; Teresa brought him to our house on Sunday to do the check. Brody had been with us since that day.

Brody left our house to cross over the Rainbow Bridge on 30 March, 2010 after 3 years, 7 months. Our house is now quiet again. He made it worth going home from a long day at work because he was always there to greet you. Even though he could not hear, he knew what time we were supposed to come home.

Hopefully once time passes we will be fortunate enough to find another cocker spaniel or any need dog to bring into our lives and make our house not so quiet anymore.

We thank OBG for taking care of all the cocker spaniels they have rescued and finding them new families to live with that will make their lives happy again.

Above are a few photos of Brody enjoying his life.

We will miss you Brody! Love, Mommy and Daddy Davis
