Because of you Dudley.....

Because of you......I became involved with Cocker Spaniel Rescue 11 years ago
Because of you......I started the Sammy Fund and first online Fundraiser for the rescue group
Because of you......The original 3 foster homes are now in double digits, the original few volunteers are now over 100
Because of you.......I made many wonderful friends through the years who I would never have meant if I didn't adopt you
Because of you. .....Friends I already had adopted wonderful companions from cocker rescue who they never would have know about otherwise
Because of you.......Friends I had and made became involved in Cocker Rescue
Because of you.......I had so many, many bright days from the joy you brought into my life
Because of you.......I learned how to deal with dogs that hadn't been treated very well, and learned there are no bad dogs, just bad circumstances
Because of you.......My divorce was easier to get through with you by my side, my friend and companion, always knowing my feelings
Because of you........I got through cancer easier with you by my side, never missing a moment when I needed you
Because of you........I got through losing, Casey, Floppy, Stanley, and Ernie
Because of you........I learned how to break up dog fights and to how to prevent them :)
Because of you........I learned how one can grow old with dignity and wake up every morning with a smile despite all the aches and pains of age
Because of you........I learned how to be strong and keep a smile on my face when things aren't always great
Because of you........I learned that dogs do have wardrobes:)
Because of you....... I learned the unconditional love a rescue dog brings, the joys of saving a life and giving you 12 more years
Because of you........The last 12 years of my life have been the best that I could have ever imagined from loving you, Thank you.

Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge my sweet Dudley, I'm sure you're you'll be keeping all the cocker spaniels in line and making sure there's plenty of chardonnay in doggie heaven.
