My sweet Duchess, you are always in my thoughts and prayers. You and all of my doggies have given me so much happiness.  I will love you forever.

There is so much to say about Duchess that it is hard to put into a few words.  She came into my life unexpectedly in November 2001 when I saw her at her foster mom's house as I was picking up for the first time Genji my other adopted
cocker.  I fell in love with Duchess and Genji and adopted them both.  During that time my daughter's old male yellow lab, Ryker lived with me because her house had too many steps for his aging body.  He fell in love with both cockers and snuggled them just as he had my deceased 18 year old cocker, Princess when she was alive.  Ryker and Genji died in the spring of 2004 and Duchess died on September 6, 2006.  They all have a part of my heart and I will never forget them.
