Hannah Our dear girl Hannah crossed the Rainbow Bridge Thursday
evening. We buried her alongside Bainbridge up on the hill right beside
the deck she used to enjoy. She came to us from the Maryland Cocker Rescue
group having been abandoned in Baltimore with ear infections and having just
whelped a litter. Everyone believes that she was used in a puppy mill and
tossed aside when they were done with her. Rebekah nursed her through the ear infections, I provided treats
and she scolded Bainbridge when he would wander away looking for "fast food" in
the neighbor's trash cans. Our granddaughters loved to just sit with her
and rub her and talk to her. Hannah loved the attention. The thing we
notice most is the absence of the click of her nails on our bedroom floor. Our vet believes she may have been the toughest dog in the
world. For nearly three years she has received medications for a
congestive heart condition (6 per day - morning and night). Then in July
we added two more to control her hemorrhaging sinus tumor. Through all of
this she just kept plugging away - making sure that any dropped food was cleaned
up and that our faces got licked regularly. Her favorite place was a cool
tile floor or wherever we happened to be working. She was a wonderful girl and has left a huge hole for such a
small little one. Bill & Rebekah Jennings
