Tootsie

Rescued: March 17, 2005
Passed Over: November 7, 2011

"Tootsie" Roll McClellan passed away on Nov. 7th. We rescued her on March 17, 2005. She loved her walks at 5AM every morning. She got me off the couch and l lost 18 pounds. The neighborhood children loved to pet her and to see her sit in a wicker chair next to me for Halloween. She loved to chase deer, fox, and even an occasional skunk in the woods behind our house. She loved to go for car rides as well even if it was just to the vet. We took her to the Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk, a Scottish came, and to Wrightsville Beach, NC.

Tootsie loved to follow us around the house wherever we went. She would sit underneath the kitchen counter when Dick cut tomatoes and cucumbers for a dinner salad. Her two favorite vegetables. She would even pick tomatoes off the tomato plant on the deck. Tootsie enjoyed resting on a lounge chair on the deck as well. She loved her chew sticks and never needed to see the vet dentist. She had a good temperament for all her many ear infections and skin irritations.

Tootsie was Dick's constant companion when he had back surgery. She was always a comfort to both of us. She was a special dog and is greatly missed.
