Jinx

Meet Jinx! He is a darling 8 year young cocker mix with a wide toothy grin that spreads from ear to ear. This southern gentleman wound up in an animal shelter with a very high kill rate, especially for dogs surrendered by their owners. Unfortunately, this was the predicament sweet Jinx found himself in. He showed up flea infested and suffering from heartworms. We were happy to welcome him to OBG, where he got the medical attention he needed and his life has surely taken a turn for the better.
Jinx is a sweet, well behaved boy. He loves receiving massages and hearing about what a great boy he is. He adores his beloved toys and you'll rarely spot this pup without one in his mouth! Jinx is completely housebroken and has earned the privilege of free roam of his foster home while his family is gone.

Jinx has given us reason to believe he's been subjected to rough handling in the past. He's very jumpy at sudden noises and extremely wary around brooms and sticks. He watches carefully to make sure they're not going to be used on him. We recently learned he has a severe hip dislocation, most likely due to a car accident or from being kicked. This injury was never treated and now requires surgery. Once completed, Jinx can run and play without being in pain. Because of his uncertain past, we think Jinx would feel most comfortable in an adult only home or possibly one with teenage children. Don't you agree he deserves to be doted on and adored while being the center of attention?
