Hi, I'm Kasey. I am one of the sweetest, most laid-back dogs you will ever meet! I'm 5-7 years old, house trained, quiet, and fantastic with other dogs and cats. I love following my foster mom around the house, so a home with retired people or someone who works from home would be ideal for me.

I was part of the Be Mine 9, so I wasn't used to living in a house. However, I have adjusted very well. My foster mom says that I am super easy to have around. I only bark when the doorbell rings - I don't even bark when the other dog in the house is woofing. I sleep all night on a dog bed on the floor of the bedroom. If my family stays up too late in the evening, I'll go up to bed by myself. I now love riding in the car. I sit in back and put my front paws on the console between the front seats. I like to help navigate.

My foster family has taught me how special and loved I am. That is the best feeling ever. I had no idea that humans loved dogs as much as they love me. I really love my foster brother, Boomer. When we play, I just have FUN. My favorite napping spot is on top of the couch, behind my foster mom. Sometimes I slip and my butt lands on her head. Oops.

I have not shown any aggression at all - I simply avoid things that I do not like. I would prefer to live with teenagers or adults. Food is a good way to win my heart. If calm grandkids come and visit me now and then, I will learn to like them if they drop tasty treats for me.

I have a hypermature cataract in my right eye, but I can still see shapes. My left eye has perfect vision, but it has a "baby" cataract. I was evaluated by Animal Eye Care, and the vet was very optimistic that neither will pose problems in the future. However, if they do, cataract surgery runs about $2000 - $3000 depending on whether one eye or both would need to have surgery. I will go back to the eye vet in 6 months, but after that yearly visits should suffice.
