Buckaroo

Buckaroo is a Cocker-Pomeranian mix that was picked up as a stray in Virginia. He lives with his foster family who has 3 dogs and 3 cats.  He fits in well with all of the members of the family, although he first thought the cats were for chasing; he has learned that they are not.  

He is a lovable dog who loves to play (still a puppy at only 12 months after all) and will entertain himself with toys by tossing them in the air.  “Buckey” loves to stretch out on his belly and scratch it on the carpet or rug.  He is a “happy boy” who loves his humans and is always happy to greet them when they come home.  Buckey also like to snuggle on the couch or relax on the floor during quiet times.  

He is obedient, eager to please, and very smart.  Now that he knows the routine of the house, he loves to “talk” and let the humans know what he wants.  He is housebroken and will let folks know when he needs to go outside.

Buckey loves to be outdoors and loves a big yard to run around in.  He is happy being with the other dogs in the house or just by himself while outdoors.  He plays with the other dogs and he has found that if he teases one of the other dogs, she will run after him and they run all around the yard chasing each other. 

Buckey is a sweet boy and has a wonderful temperament.  Whatever made him fearful has disappeared and he is great in a home setting.  As with any puppy (he is only 12 months old), stability is the key to a happy dog.
