Who doesn't know what I'm talking about
Who's never left home, who's never struck out
To find a dream and a life of their own
A place in the clouds, a foundation of stone
      - Dixie Chicks, "Wide Open Spaces"

Dixie Chick's owners fell on hard times financially and had to turn their sweet girl over to a local shelter. When the staff saw what a wonderful dog she was, they called up OBG because they knew we could help find Dixie Chick her place in the clouds.

This 8-years-young sweetie just loves everyone she's met, young and old. She pulls a bit on the leash, but we think it's because she was so excited to get out of the shelter and off to OBG! She rode like a perfect passenger on the ride to our vet.

Dixie has hypothyroidism, an easy-to-treat condition that is not uncommon in cocker spaniels. Treatment is simple and inexpensive: a pill with breakfast and one with dinner. (Hide it in a little lump of cheese and make it the appetizer!) Your vet will want to run blood tests twice a year to verify that her dosage is correct.

This beautiful girl will slip easily into just about any home. She has a medium energy level, so after her daily walks she'll be happy to snuggle up and take a nap while you work or watch TV. Dixie's even housebroken! To learn more about her or set up a meet and greet, email us today.
