BJ

Hi everyone!  My name is BJ, and I am looking for a furever home.  I'm a 5-6 year old cocker spaniel, though I act much younger than my age.  I love people, and the people love me!  My favorite things to do are play with toys (squeaky toys, quiet toys, kongs with or without peanut butter), lounge on the sofa, run around the yard with my foster siblings, and get loved on by people.  I like to play fetch, but I’m not really good at bringing the ball back to you, yet.  I can learn!

I like children and other dogs, but am not real keen on cats.  I’m house trained (bonus!), I enjoy my meals (and everyone else’s), I like to chew (so you might want to make sure things you love are not where I can get them), and I know some commands such as “sit,” and “stay.” I do know my name and will respond most of the time unless I’m busy doing something really fun.  As you can tell, I could really some more fun training, and I am quick to learn.

My crate is my safe and calm place.  I like to go there sometimes and just rest.  At night, I go in there to sleep.  I might like to sleep on your bed, though.  I keep trying with my foster mom, but she says no.

I’d really like a home with people who can spend lots of time with me, as I don’t really enjoy being alone. If there’s another dog or two to play with, that would be especially great.  But, I like having my people around the most.  Kids are fine, too, but please keep them 8 or older.  Maybe they will play with me so I can run off this energy I have.
