Gus

Are you looking for a sweet, young, furry fella?  Check out Gus!  This Australian shepherd mix, hailing from South Carolina, has charmed his way into our hearts.  At just around a year old, this pup has energy to spare and good times to clock!  He currently tips the scales at 45 pounds and is nothing but a ball of love.

Gus is smart, gentle and cuddly.  He absolutely lights up when it's time to play games with the clicker, and he learned "sit" and "touch" very quickly.  Gus receives an A+ for his manners in the car.  He never gets up on the furniture, and he rarely barks.  Gus has been extremely gentle with all the children he has met.

Gussie has free roam of the house when no one is home since he is house-trained and he leaves the "human possessions" alone.  Gus has lots of toys and bones for himself, which he seems to enjoy a lot.  Being so young, he is still an avid chewer.  

Gus would love to find a jogging companion.  However, if he doesn't find a home with a jogger, someone who walks him every day is a must.  Gussie absolutely adores playing with his foster sibling.  He is a lot less anxious when left alone with another dog in the house.

Gus does not like being contained - crates and being closed in a room stress him out, so he is looking for a family that understands that and won't try to contain him.  When he was an "only dog", he seemed to prefer to have the TV or radio left on for him when no one was home.  However, he was never left for more than a few hours.
