Andy has been on a long journey to make his way to OBG.  He hails from sunny Florida!  This sweet boy's mom was admitted to a nursing home, and nobody in her family could take her best friend in.  She insisted that he find his way to a cocker rescue.  Lucky for her and Andy, her son is a long distance truck driver, so Andy jumped in the big rig and his journey began!

Andy is a wonderful 10-year-young white-and-tan-parti fella.  He has a fabulous temperament and loves everyone who crosses his path, even little humans!  Our guy is housebroken and rides very well on long-distance trips!  He arrived with some skin infections, and his ears do not look so great after years of chronic infections.  Fortunately, he got paired up with a foster family who are experts at perfecting both!

While in foster care, we've noticed a quirk that Andy has: even though he walks nicely on a leash, he won't go potty when he is on a leash! Andy is house-trained and can hold it almost forever, but he is going to need a fenced yard for bathroom times.

He is quiet. In the 10 days he has been in his foster home, he's only barked twice. When he does bark, it is loud and scary, but he is NOT a watch dog. He doesn't bark when people come to the door, even if the other dogs do.

Andy loves the company of other dogs and ignores the cats. We are hoping to find a home for him with a furry companion to play with!

He will be seeing the ear specialist on the 19th, and after that we will have more details to report to his adoring fans.

Andy's previous owner is so proud of her boy for making the big trip to the metro DC area.  All she wants is for her little buddy to find love again and be cherished.  Does Andy belong in your life?
