Tyson

Hi!  I'm Tyson!  I am a happy, 11 year old, 29# love bug who adores to be around people and other dogs.  I roll over for treats and belly rubs, and I will lavish you with gentle kisses.  When you talk to me, my nub wiggles like crazy!  My favorite lounging position is the "dog froggy."  You'll know it when you see me do it.  I love to snuggle with people on the couch or bed until I get hot, and then I'll move to the floor.  I follow my person everywhere, and she says I'm the best shadow in the house.  I also love to patrol the yard.  I don't have a doggy door, but I bet I would love one.

I came to OBG when my owners could no longer take care of me.  I had glaucoma in my left eye, so now I can't see out of that eye, but I don't let it slow me down.  I'm fantastic about taking my eye drops.  My ears match my eyes - I can only hear with my right ear, because I had an ear ablation in my left ear.  That just means no need to clean that ear!

I'm in good shape for a dog of my age.  Now that the weather is getting cooler, I trot around the neighborhood like a spry, young dog.  My foster mom says I'm 100% naughty, but she's always laughing when she says it.  I've taught her to keep bathroom doors shut, not to leave remote controls lying around, and to keep food away from the edge of counters.  

My ideal home would be one in which the people are around more than not.  I love company and snuggles.  I'm super good with other dogs - even blind ones - but no cats for me.  I need sturdy toys, because I'll happily tear apart the flimsy ones and eat bits and pieces of them.  I would make a great companion for someone who has a neat house and is looking for someone with whom to snuggle and talk all day long.
