Little Miss Miranda is no ordinary pup.  We think she could be a forest fairy sprite!  You see she recently found herself trapped in the forest - hopelessly tangled in wire - until a Good Samaritan found her and freed her.  She was whisked away by OBG to be cared for and nurtured until she could find her forever home.

She is a petite 22 pounds and we think she is between 2 and 3 years old.   We know nothing of her life before she was discovered on that fateful day back in November, but we could tell in an instant that she was special.  But with no prior experience with humans, she naturally has some reservations when meeting people  It takes a bit of time to gain her trust and then her love.

In her foster home, her lively and mischievous nature shines through.  She is curious and clever and has blossomed into a beautiful and loving girl with her foster Mom.  She is still shy with her foster Dad, who is usually gone all day at work and not as familiar to her yet.

Unfortunately, OBG found that Miranda is heartworm positive, so she is undergoing treatment.  She will receive her last shot at the end of February.  She will be ready for regular activity by the end of March.  As part of her heartworm treatment, she needs to stay on crate rest.  Miranda loves playing with other dogs and even the resident cat - until she was swatted - and is frustrated that her heartworm treatment requires her to be calm.

She is actively working on her house training skills (one benefit of needing to be crated for heartworm treatment).

If you would like to meet this special little sprite, contact her foster Mom to arrange a visit.
