Meet Maddie who has traveled a very long way to OBG.  A Good Samaritan found her in a crowded shelter in Cairo, Egypt and brought her to the U.S. to OBG.  Maddie is a 1-2 year-old sweetheart who is very friendly, loves to cuddle, and is one to make herself at home.  She gets along with other dogs, but is not good with cats.  We don't have any information on living with children but she went up to every kid she could find during walks with her temp foster Mom. Her docked tail wags a mile a minute when she sees them and other dogs and she will pull you over to meet them.

Maddie is very smart and quickly learned the routine in her weekend foster home. She is mostly house trained and will go to the door to let you know she needs to go out. She is crate-trained but wants to be in view of her humans if they are in the house. She happily slept in her crate next to her foster Mom's bed. She loves loves loves squeaky toys and will play by herself with them on the couch.

Check out a video of her playing!

She also loves to go on walks and would be a great running partner. An active family with a fenced-in yard where she can also run and play would be ideal. Positive training classes where she can learn basic commands and how to walk on a leash are also ideal for Maddie.

Maddie is in good health. She arrived to OBG with skin and ear issues but is doing great and takes the ear cleanings like a champ.  She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses and will roll over for belly rubs.  If you think you might be the one to meet her and make her your own, please contact OBG.
