Lucy
Young | Female | Adopted
Hello OBG world! I am Lucy, a sweet Pomeranian/corgi mix, and I am looking for a home to call my own. I'm about 3 years old and weigh 14#. My first family had to give me up because they were moving, and so they left me in a shelter in VA. They didn't share much information with the shelter because they were so upset - not even my name! So, I'm learning a new one and I really like Lucy.
My foster mom says that I'm shy - like I wasn't exposed to a lot of things when I was a puppy. It takes me a moment or two, but I do warm up to people. If there is too much commotion in the house, I'll run into a bedroom to get away. I startle frequently - like when trucks go by or I see something "different" such as a kid running down the street. I don't have an aggressive bone in my body - I will roll over onto my back in a heartbeat. When I want attention, I do a flirty little "dance" to help you notice.
My foster mom says I should be sure to mention that I am house-trained. There is a doggie door in my current place, and I learned to use it right away. I like to get on furniture. I would love to sleep in bed with you, but right now I'm sleeping in a dog bed on my foster mom's bedroom floor.
My ideal home would have another nice dog in it. I miss my former doggie siblings a lot, so if you wanted to adopt one of them with me, I would be thrilled (Desi and Ethel are their names).
